Patience is the state of endurance under difficult circumstances. This can mean persevering in the face of delay or provocation without becoming annoyed or upset; or exhibiting forbearance when faced with long-term difficulties.

It is also used to refer to the character trait of being steadfast.

In the recent past our country has had to endure many difficult situations that call for patience. We are still grappling with the profound effects of post-election violence particularly the IDPs and their resettlement.

Many continue to live in internally displaced persons camps as they wait for the Government to resettle them.
Now is the Al-Shabaab militia which has proved a threat to the country’s territorial integrity through constant attacks along our borders.

Our Forces intervention in the problem is costly to the country and thus could easily translate to various adverse effects especially when it comes to the economy.

As if that is not enough, we are now trying to cope with the aftermath of the ICC rulling which has caused a major shakeup within the political circles of the country with which people are in a dilemma which way to follow.

In such circumstances, it is easy to become impatient and make demands on God as well as each other. Impatience can lead us to situations where we argue, abuse others and demand that things are done immediately to alleviate the difficulties we find ourselves.

We should pray for God’s help and guidance through the same as we hope all will be well with the prevailing situations in the country.

Patience is the greatest of all virtues!!!
