Mr Ayabei joined the board of Emo Investments having been seconded by the Society in early 2007.

He is one of the founder members of the organization having mooted the idea in 2001. Since then, he has dedicated his time fully to see to it that the organization succeeds in its endeavours.

Mr Ayabei worked with Telkom Kenya for over 23 years where he rose through the ranks and as at the time of his early retirement he held the position of Accounts Officer.

Ayabei runs an estate agency business. Other responsibilities include; Chairman of the Board of Governors of Kapkawa Secondary School, Administrative Secretary of Faith Mission Community Church - Syokimau which is  Redeemed Gospel Church among others.
