Esther Joined Emo Community Development Society (ECDS) in June 2009 as the National Vice Chairperson, a position she holds to date.

In addition to her responsibilities in Emo, she is also the North Rift Coordinator of the National Aids Control Council (NACC). She joined NACC in the year 2004. She has also worked as a District Nursing Manager in various district.

Mrs Muigei holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Public health from Kenyatta University and she is an allumni of Moi Girls High School Eldoret.
